Brightwood Inn, Bed and Breakfast

We get many calls here at the Brightwood Inn and one of the most common questions we get is "So, what's the difference between you and a hotel/Motel?". Not much is the short answer but we do elaborate when we are presented with the Questions. So let's start out with what we have in common. Let's start with the basics, we have clean rooms with comfy beds with all the linens provided. Private baths with hot and cold running water, clean towels and provided amenities. We also have TV's in all the rooms with a wide range of channels and free WIFI. Then there's also the fact that you can come and go as much as you please! There is no curfew, we promise you won't get locked out after a certain time.

Now for the subtle differences. Our linens, towels and amenities are usually nicer. We strive to have a better attention to detail than any chain hotel. Our rooms were not stamped out with a cookie cutter like hotels are. Every room is different in style and size. In fact, most of our rooms have two person hot tubs, they all have fireplaces and some have private balconies. Sure most hotels are now have a continental breakfast but we serve a full breakfast with fresh fruit, homemade muffins or fruit breads and a hot entree served to your table. We also have common areas inside and out where you enjoy a book or favorite beverage in a quite country setting. That's another thing! We are out in a quiet country setting. There is a nice view out of every window, some better than others. And when I say quiet, that's what I mean, we aren't backed up to a noisy interstate where you hear the drone of traffic all night long.

So basically the hotels and motels are more of a convenience and a bed and breakfast is a destination. We're smaller, quieter and more personal. Oh, and we don't do room service! :)
