Bald Eagle Trolley Tours

Starved Rock State Parks' Bald Eagle Trolley Tours start this weekend! And they run until the end of February!  Saturdays and Sundays they have tours at 9am and 11am.  The price is $25.00 for adults and this includes lunch.  Be mesmerized by the beautiful bald eagles at Starved Rock. Ride the trolley to the Illinois Waterway Visitor Center for eagle viewing and an educational program. They also have tours on Mondays and Wednesdays at 11am only.

Want to get your shoes a little dirty?  Guided Winter Hikes EVERY Saturday & Sunday from December through March. Departure time: 11:00 am. Approximate return time: 2:00 pm. Hikes depart from Lodge (Lobby). Cost: $12 per person.   Join them for a guided hike with the possibility of seeing frozen waterfalls & eagles in flight.  After leaving LaSalle Canyon, the hike continues to Eagle Cliff and Lover’s Leap for the best view of the majestic eagles.  The tour concludes at the Lodge about 2:00 pm.  Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear proper shoes or boots. In the event of ice and snow, they advise Yaktrax for extra traction on your shoes.  Hike will be about 4.5 miles round trip. Remember to bring your binoculars and camera.  Included is: a homemade granola bar, bottled water, “Starved Rock” backpack and voucher for small hot chocolate or coffee at their Cafe upon your return. Advanced reservations are required as space is limited.
