Well so far this winter is shaping up very similar to last winter.  I asked my grandson what he'd like to have for Christmas this year and he said more snow.  You can't fault a five year old for wanting more snow.  I, who have never really cared for the cold weather, have been jonesing for it just a bit.  The summer was sooo hot I need cold to erase the memory.  I can hardly believe I'm saying this, but I am!  Quite a few of the people I have spoken with here at the Inn, have said they have no Christmas Spirit this year.  We're thinking it's cause of the weather.

We baked some Christmas cookies yesterday, but we have a lot more to bake before Christmas,  We made cutouts, Varmalinger which is a Swedish Butter Cookie, Peanut Butter Kisses and  Apricot Almond Bars.  Still have to do more cutouts, Scotch Cookies, Pinwheels and something lemon just not sure what yet.  We'll be doing snowmen cake pops.  I'll bake them and Kevin, who is way more artistic than myself  will do the intricate decorating.  Decorating and baking really helps to get you in the mood.  Can't wait to spend some time with family and have some great food.  Since we have a small family our Christmas Eve consists of a fantastic fondue meal.  Fondue takes a while to prepare cook and eat so it takes of much of our afternoon and evening. Have a great Holiday everyone!
